In 2024, with the robust support of the Yanbian County government, Sichuan SCSW 3D officially commenced operations. This new chapter is built upon the solid technical foundation and industrial vision of its parent company, Ningbo SCSW 3D.

From initial planning and plant design to equipment installation and system commissioning, every step was driven by the dedication and hard work of the SCSW 3D team. Facing numerous challenges, including technical hurdles and tight deadlines, our team worked tirelessly on the front lines to ensure the project's successful and steady launch.

Technology as the Core: Inheriting the "Ningbo DNA"

Leveraging the parent company Ningbo SCSW 3D's self-developed systems—including the Electrode Induction Melting Gas Atomization (EIGA) system, high-purity high-pressure argon gas recycling system, and powder surface treatment and classification system—the base has successfully provided a viable solution to the long-standing industry challenge of low-cost, mass production of high-purity, low-oxygen spherical titanium alloy powder.

This breakthrough enhances product quality while reducing production costs, giving the company a distinct competitive edge in the marketplace.

Capacity Leap: From Phase I Success to Phase II Expansion

Construction commenced in April 2024. By August, the first phase – comprising four production lines – was completed and operational, achieving an annual capacity exceeding 1,000 tonnes and surpassing initial targets.

That same year, the base was designated a Key Project of Sichuan Province. As the appointed leader of the Panzhihua titanium alloy industrial chain, Sichuan SCSW 3D is now tasked with driving regional industrial development. This rapid progress underscores SCSW 3D's highly efficient project management and exceptional teamwork.

Building on this momentum, the second phase of the Sichuan base is now fully underway. Equipment installation is scheduled for completion by the end of 2025, followed by commissioning. Upon completion, Phase II will establish a demonstration base for ultra-fine spherical titanium-based alloy powders, boosting total annual capacity by over 2,000 tonnes and further solidifying SCSW 3D's leadership in China's titanium powder industry.
